Welcome to Vector Maths

Vision: To create a high quality GCSE Maths resource that would be an asset to educators / teachers and students within a classroom setting as well as outside, giving the students, as far as is possible, a continuity of experience.

Background

Several years ago, early into my teaching career, I first started making GCSE maths videos for my year 11 students. Back then, they were fairly basic but I recall opening the ICT suite on the weekend prior to the exam and having many students attend. They donned a pair of headphones, collected an inviting past paper pack and worked through a collection of questions, consulting the worked video solutions from time to time. It truly inspired me to build on this idea whenever I could find the time. Since then, I've been extremely fortunate to have gained a wealth of experience, teaching students across a wide spectrum of ability and interest in mathematics. During my role as a head of department, I was blessed to work with an inspired group of Maths teachers who shared my passion and commitment for supporting students. Several of these are also contributors to Vector Maths.

The Question Bank: Original. Varied. Thorough.

In contrast to several other websites, 99% of the questions are original, yet based upon past paper exam questions from the major UK exam boards. There are nearly 3000 GCSE Maths questions across the complete ability range offering thorough variation on each topic.

The Delivery

Each solution video has been carefully created with a real focus on the clarity of the explanations. Mathematical vocabulary is appropriately emphasised as well of course as process and presentation. Within each video, text and mathematical fonts have been used and diagrams are neatly illustrated. All have been recorded in widescreen HD with high quality audio.
